....The name of Dwight Loop's radio program which began May 15, 1979 KUNM-FM in Albuquerque, NM.... Earwaves has come to represent a cue for innovation in sound, music, art & performance....beginning in radio and now expanding through concert presentation and performance art events, workshops & community events large and small through its new (2018) concert/event umbrella - Earwaves Presents.

Earwaves Radio began on KUNM-FM in Albuquerque, NM in May of 1979. Host Dwight Loop was the host of the popular new music radio program which aired through 1987 at KUNM. Earwaves moved to KSFR-FM in Santa Fe in 1990-95 before moving onto composing and performing his own music and moving into video and audio production and producing.
Earwaves Radio's focus was on new, experimental, 20th century classical music, new avant garde jazz, spoken work, electronic and ambient music.
Dwight interviewed many important artists of the day including: Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Tangerine Dream, Roedelius, Fred Frith, Yochko Seffer, Daevid Allen, Gilli Smythe, Bill Laswell, Michael Beinhorn, Paul and Linda Fuchs, Frank Zappa, Morton Subotnick, Mauel Gottsching, Joan LaBarbara, Woody and Steina Visulka, David Dunn, Michael Stearns, Steve Roach and many, many others throughout the years!
